The update will be applied during the normal daily maintenance window.
For the February update, it will apply the latest updates to test environment on Friday, February 1st, 2019 and to production environment on February 15th, 2019.
In this patch, these are the major updates:
Enterprise Planning Cloud
1.View Size and Last Modified Date of Snapshot
The Snapshots tab in Migration now displays snapshot size and last modified date and time of available snapshots.
2.New Aggregate Storage Function in Calculation Manager
The @LIST (Argument) aggregate storage function is now available in Calculation Manager. This function can be used in the Point of View of an Aggregate Storage custom calculation or allocation.
3.Calculating Incremental Workforce Data
To stay up-to-date with HR changes, you can import new and update information frequently into EPBCS. This release greatly improves the loading of updated data into the Workforce process using Data Management. After the Data Management load process, the changed and new data displays in the appropriate Workforce forms.
4.Deleting an Integration In Data Management
From the System Maintenance Tasks in Data Management, you can now delete an entire integration including the name, import format, location, mappings, and data rules created in Data Integration.
5.New Source Expression Types in Data Integration
New source expressions types have been added for the import format in Data Integration. Source expressions operate on the value that is read from the import file, and are used to transform and augment values for source dimensions.
Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud
1.Process Management
FCCS now provides an approval process and workflow. Administrators can manage the approvals process by creating an approval unit hierarchy or modifying the default approval unit hierarchy, setting up the promotional path, and reviewing status. Users can start, promote, reject, approve, and submit data through the promotional path set up for the approval unit hierarchy.
2.Support for Additional Elimination Members in the Data Source Dimension
A new “FCCS_Total Eliminations” parent member has been added to the Data Source dimension, and the existing “FCCS_Intercompany Eliminations” member is a child of the new Total member. You can add siblings of the existing “FCCS_Intercompany Eliminations” member (descendants of the new Total member) to create more detailed tracking of consolidation adjustment and elimination entries.
3.Close Manager Renamed to EPM Task Manager
The term “Close Manager” has been renamed to “Task Manager” in all places in the UI. This includes Tasks, Task Types, Templates, Schedules, Teams, System Settings, Attributes, Alerts, and Reports.
4.Embedded Template Information in Task Manager Templates
In Task Manager, the Manage Templates screen has been enhanced with these new columns to identify embedded templates.
In addition, when you create a task template, a new option is available on the Properties tab to set a template as “Embedded Only”
5.FCCS Translations – Override Entries To Intercompany Accounts Should Also Be Applied To Elims
When you enter an Override amount or rate to an Intercompany entry that has already been eliminated, the Override will also be applied to the elimination entry. The eliminated amount in Data Source “Intercompany Eliminations” will be adjusted by the same ratio as the original source entry in one or more of the “Total Input and Adjusted” members.
6.Support for Data Source System Members in Configurable Calculations
When you create configurable calculations, you can now include the following Data Source system members as Targets in a calculation rule:
- FCCS_Intercompany Eliminations
- FCCS_Journal Input
- FCCS_Supplemental Data
7.Consolidation Report Enhancements
The Consolidation Report has been enhanced with several new features:
- Ability to display Journal details instead of Summary amount when you use parent “Multi-GAAP” or parent “Account” members in the POV
- Ability to display “Entity” in Rows and “Movement” in Columns
- Support for single-currency applications
- Run-time prompt dialog that enables you to change the Parent Entity/Scenario/Period or Years before submitting the job
- Support for User Preferences – Number Formatting settings in the output report
Profitable and Cost Management Cloud
1.”Ready For Use” Indicator on Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Application Tab
New symbols on the PCMCS Application tab indicate whether the application is ready to use.
2.Execution Statistics Report Available in Microsoft Excel Format from the Job Library
The PCMCS Execution Statistics Report now supports output in Microsoft Excel file format when running from the Job Library.
Account Reconciliation Cloud
1.New Columns for Auto Submit and Auto Approved
New columns have been added to the Reconciliation List and Filters so you can monitor which roles have been automatically completed via Format or Profile Rules.
2.New Column for Attachments Total (Count)
A new column called Attachments Total (Count), which indicates the total count of attachments at the reconciliation and transaction level for a given reconciliation, has been added.
3.All Users Now Have Access to the Compliance Dashboard
All users can now access the full Compliance Dashboard metrics, which include the default status charts as well as the configurable “traffic light” dashboard metrics.
4.Export and Import Match Types Within or Across Account Reconciliation Cloud Environments
System Administrators can now export the configuration of a Match Type, then import it back into the same environment (with a different Match Type name) or to another Account Reconciliation Cloud environment.
5.Attribute Field Size Increased
Data Management and Account Reconciliation have increased the size of the data fields that can be moved between them. This also allows larger fields for drill back detail.
Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud
1.Supporting and Extending ESMA and ESEF Taxonomies in Disclosure Management
Supporting and Extending Non-SEC Jurisdiction for European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) taxonomies in Disclosure Management.
2.Importing Management Reports in Oracle Smart View
Importing Management Reports in Oracle Smart View topic provides an insight about the following:
- How to work with doclets in Oracle Smart View for Office.
- How to import Management Reports in Oracle Smart View for Office as ad hoc queries.
3.Adding a Grid Title Property in Management Reports
Adding a New Grid Title Property in Management Reports.
Enterprise Data Management Cloud
1.Granular Data Permissions
Users can be granted Browser or Submitter permission to a specified application, dimension, node type, or hierarchy set.
2.Approval Policies
Approval policies can be used to collect approvals for requested changes to enterprise data.
3.Collaborative Workflows
Requests that apply changes to enterprise data can involve several users in a multi-stage collaborative workflow process. An inference-based, data-driven workflow engine adapts its policies to the content of each incoming request and its items. Requests move through a Submit and Approve stage before being committed to the system and closed.
4.Workflow Notifications
Email notifications are sent to users who are invited to approve submitted requests.
5.Items to Approve Filter
For an open request where an approver is only approving a portion of its changes, the Items to Approve filter is used to display only the request items which the current user was invited to approve.
6.Request Item Comments and Replies
Item-level comments are available and allow for contextual comments on specific changes to data.
7.File Attachments on Requests
Request participants can attach files to a request to explain, justify, or provide supporting detail for the change.
8.To-Do List
The Home page information panel displays request activity specific to the current user.
9.New Request Activity Filters
Request activity can be filtered by workflow stage and how the current user is involved with each request.
