EPM Cloud Updates – January 2019 – EPBCS, FCCS, PCMCS, ARCS, EPRCS & EDMCS

Oracle releases the application updates documentation on new features and fixed issues from the Applications Release Readiness site. From there, you will be able to check the update for Customer Experience, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Performance Management.

A quick recap of the EPM applications.

For PBCS, Enterprise Planning Cloud (EPBCS), FCCS, PCMCS, ARCS, EPRCS and EDMCS, usually, the latest update will be installed on the first Friday of each month to test environment, and third Friday of each month to production environment. The update will be applied during the normal daily maintenance window.

For the January update, it will apply the latest updates to test environment on Friday, January 4th, 2019 and to production environment on January 18th, 2019.

In this patch, these are the major updates:

Enterprise Planning Cloud

1.New Aggregate Storage Functions in Calculation Manager

The following Aggregate Storage functions have been added to Calculation Manager. These functions can be used in the Point of View of an Aggregate Storage custom calculation or allocation.

@COUSIN (Member Name, Cousin Member Name) returns a child member at the same position as a member from another ancestor.

@DISTINCT (List1) deletes duplicate tuples from a set.
@EXCEPT (List1, List2) returns a subset containing the differences between two sets, optionally retaining duplicates.
@FIRSTCHILD (Member Name) returns the first child of the input member.
@GEN (Member Name) returns the members specified by the input generation number of the specified member.
@GENMBRS (Member Name, Generation) returns the members specified by the specified generation number of the specified member.
@INTERSECT (List1, List2) returns the intersection of two input sets, optionally retaining duplicates.
@LASTCHILD (Member Name) returns the last child of the input member.
@NEXTMBR (Member Name) using the order of members existing in a database outline, returns the next member along the same generation or level.
@PREVMBR (Member Name) using the order of members existing in a database outline, returns the previous member along the same generation or level.

1.Drill Through To End Balance Available For Viewers

Users with the Viewer role are now able to drill through from the balance on the reconciliation to see what individual balances make up the total reconciliation balance.
